Terms and Conditions

Effective January 1, 2026

Homestead Newport Beach Concrete, concretenewportbeach.com, quotes@concretenewportbeach.com

Agreeing to these terms

These terms cover your use of the Homestead Newport Beach Concrete website and any estimate or work you ask us for. If you use the site, call us or book a job, you're agreeing to them, so please read them first.

If you have a signed contract with us for a specific job, that contract governs the job. Where it says something different from this page, the contract wins.

What we do

Homestead Newport Beach Concrete is a concrete contractor in Newport Beach, CA. We build driveways, patios, sidewalks, steps, pool decks, garage floors, foundations, retaining walls and other concrete work for homes and businesses in Newport Beach and the cities around it.

The service pages on our home page describe the work in general terms. They aren't a promise that a particular method, finish or result fits your property. That gets settled once we've seen the site and written up your job. You can read more about who we are on our About page.

Estimates and pricing

Estimates are free and done in person, because we have to see the site before we can price concrete work honestly. Things like access, the existing slab, the soil underneath and where water drains all change the job. An estimate is our best figure for the work we can see that day. It is not a final bill until you accept it in writing.

Some things only show up once the old concrete is out, such as soft or wet ground, buried roots, old pipes or a base that needs more work. If that happens, we'll stop, show you what we found and agree on any change in writing before we do the extra work. Prices on an estimate hold for the time stated on it. After that, material costs may require an updated figure.

Scheduling, weather and cancellation

We set a start date with you once the job is agreed, but concrete depends on the weather. We may move a pour if rain, heat or wind would hurt the finished slab, and we'll tell you as soon as we know. A short delay costs you far less than a weak or damaged surface.

New concrete needs time to cure, which means it has to sit and harden before it can take weight. We'll tell you when it's safe to walk and drive on, and you're responsible for keeping people, pets and vehicles off it until then.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, call us as early as you can. Your written contract sets out any deposit or material costs that can't be refunded once we've ordered materials or held a crew for you. Nothing on this page limits any right to cancel that California law gives you.

Payment

Your written estimate or contract sets the price, any deposit and when each payment is due. Payment is due on the dates it lists, and the final payment is due when the work is complete.

If a payment is late, we may pause further work until it's settled. You're responsible for any reasonable costs of collecting an unpaid balance, to the extent California law allows.

Our workmanship and what concrete does on its own

We stand behind our work, and any written warranty for your job will be in your contract. Beyond that, we don't make any other warranties, spoken or implied, including any promise that the work fits a particular purpose, to the extent the law allows.

Concrete is a natural material, and some things are normal rather than defects. These include small hairline cracks, slight color differences between pours, and variation in texture on finishes like a broom finish, which is the light grooved texture brushed in for grip. We cut control joints, which are planned grooves that give the slab a place to crack in a straight line instead of at random, but no contractor can promise a slab will never crack.

Our warranty doesn't cover damage from things outside our control. That includes ground movement, tree roots, drainage changes made after we leave, heavy vehicles the slab wasn't built for, de-icing salts or harsh chemicals, and use before the concrete has cured.

Limits on our liability

To the extent California law allows, our total liability for any claim about a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. We aren't liable for indirect or follow-on losses, such as lost use of your property, lost income or the cost of temporary arrangements.

This doesn't limit our responsibility for harm we cause through negligence or for anything the law doesn't let a business exclude. The information on this website is general, and we aren't responsible for decisions you make based on it without an estimate from us.

Sorting out a problem

If something about your job isn't right, contact us first. Most problems get fixed fastest when we come out, look at it with you and agree on what to do.

If we can't settle it between us, either of us may take the matter to the courts in Orange County, California, including small claims court where the claim qualifies.

Which law applies

These terms and any work we do for you are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to rules that would apply another state's law.

Changes to these terms

We may update this page from time to time. The version posted here applies to new estimates and to anyone using the site after the change. A signed contract keeps the terms it was signed under.
